The Wedding Day
Our ceremony will begin at 3:00 PM at Boone’s Falls Event Venue. The reception will follow with dinner, drinks, and dancing. Dress code is semi-formal. We encourage comfortable shoes and big smiles.

Our Story
Megan and Reid met in May 2020 at a week-long job training in Champaign, Illinois, for a summer science camp that was set to travel to different Air Force and Army bases. While the training was intense, Reid found time to stay up late chatting with Megan—so late, in fact, that he missed his flight home on Saturday morning! Thankfully, Megan was there to save the day, driving him to the St. Louis airport to catch a new flight.
As it turned out, God had plans. That summer job was canceled due to COVID, leaving both with a lot of unexpected free time. Megan decided to spend almost a month with Reid in Johnson City, TN, and it was during this time that their connection deepened.
At the time they met, Megan had just graduated from Webster University in Missouri, while Reid was attending ETSU in Johnson City. Despite the distance, they made their relationship work, driving over 600 miles to see each other every few weeks. Megan moved to Johnson City in January of 2021. Since then, Johnson City has become home for them both.
Fast forward to August 24, 2024, and Reid managed to pull off the surprise of a lifetime. Megan thought they were heading up to Beech Mountain for a double date with John Henry and Randi, but instead, Reid proposed—and both sets of parents were there to witness the special moment! It was a day filled with joy, love, awkwardness, and cheeks hurting from so many smiles!
Both Megan and Reid teach in Bristol and Kingsport, where their students have been eagerly awaiting this exciting news. At home, they share their life with Marshmallow, their spoiled (but very loved) cat.
They can’t wait to start the next chapter together, surrounded by family and friends on their wedding day!
